Offerings
Add and organize your menu items, services, or products with pricing.
The Offerings tab lets you create a structured listing of what your business offers — whether that's a restaurant menu, a list of services, or a product catalog.
How offerings are organized
Bistu uses a three-level hierarchy:
- Categories — Top-level groupings (e.g., "Appetizers", "Main Courses", "Haircuts")
- Subcategories — Optional groupings within a category (e.g., "Hot Appetizers", "Cold Appetizers")
- Items — Individual offerings with details and pricing
Adding a category
- Click Add Category
- Enter a category title (e.g., "Starters" or "Services")
- The category appears in the list and you can start adding items to it
Categories can be reordered by dragging them into the order you'd like them to appear on your website.
Adding items
Within a category (or subcategory), click Add Item and fill in:
- Title — The name of the item (required)
- Description — A brief description of the item
- Price — The price displayed to customers
- Item notes — Additional details like allergen information, dietary labels, or special notes
Adding subcategories
If you need an extra level of organization:
- Within a category, click Add Subcategory
- Enter a subcategory title
- Add items within the subcategory
Subcategories are optional. You can mix items and subcategories within the same parent category.
Tips
- Keep item descriptions short and informative
- Use item notes for allergen warnings or dietary info (e.g., "Contains nuts", "Vegan")
- Prices are displayed in the currency you set in your region settings
- You can have as many categories and items as you need
